Al snel kwamen\u00a0er op sociale media meldingen binnen over de knallen, die\u00a0hoorbaar zijn geweest tot in Lokeren en Terneuzen, dat is toch al snel 20km.<\/span><span id=\"eow-title\" class=\"watch-title watch-editable\" dir=\"ltr\" title=\"Luide knallen en rode gloed (Arcelor Mittal - Gent 25\/01\/2016)\">\u00a0Uiteindelijk bleken de knallen afkomstig te zijn van Arcelor Mittal in de Gentse haven. Een waterstofexplosie lag aan de basis van de luide knallen.\u00a0<\/span>De explosie zou ontstaan zijn bij het afgieten van een staalpan.
