Op het kruispunt gebeurden reeds verschillende zware en dodelijke ongevallen. De werken zijn al enkele maanden geleden begonnen, maar vandaag werden de lichten in werking gesteld. Het kruispunt is nu een stuk veiliger. Ten vroegste in 2018 wordt het kruispunt grondig heraangelegd.
