Momenteel is ter hoogte van de afrit op de E34 maar 1 rijstrook beschikbaar richting Antwerpen. De afrit- en opritstrook worden daar verlengd. Op de R4 ter hoogte van Arcelor Mittal was dit weekend de de eerste asfaltlaag aangelegd. Maandag werd de toplaag aangelegd. Komende woensdag begint men aan de andere rijrichting. Het verkeer zal vanaf dan over het vernieuwde deel kunnen.
