Men heeft reeds de helft van het asfalt voor en op het kruispunt uitgebroken en weggevoerd. Op een deel ligt er reeds een grondlaag in zand en steengruis. De fundering voor het 2de deel van de fietstunnel is reeds gegoten. Ook de plaats van de 2de fietstunnel (richting Gent) is reeds duidelijk zichtbaar. Het trac\u00e9 van het fietspad is ook reeds volledig uitgegraven, tussen de Wachtebekestraat en het kruispunt.
